Observations

Use the NTPE Observation module to evaluate all or your Non-Teaching Professionals, including counselors, nurses, school psychologists, building principals, supervisors of special education, and other supervisory and nonsupervisory NTPEs.

The NTPE Observation is a year-long process, starting with the NTPE setting goals and identifying component focus areas. Once goals, focus areas, and an action plan are established, the NTPE Observation is submitted to supervisors for review. Feedback is provided followed by approval.  NTPEs then return to their NTPE Observation any time throughout the school year to provide updates and share artifacts. The process ends with a final submission of updates and a self-assessment. Supervisors then provide final feedback and component ratings which transfer to the 13-2 or 13-3 rating forms to inform year-end summative ratings.

The NTPE Observation is a vital tool to collect evidence across the domains and framework components and ensures evidence is available for the Observation and Practice section of the 13-2 or 13-3 final rating form.
