The Erie Catholic School System is a community where faith, learning, and growth come together to shape the hearts and minds of young people. Across their school campuses, they believe education is about more than just academics — it’s about nurturing the whole child. Each day, their students experience a blend of rigorous academics, meaningful spiritual formation, and personal development, all within a warm, supportive environment.
The system is part of the Catholic Diocese of Erie and comprises six schools in the City of Erie and Millcreek, serving nearly 1,800 students across its elementary campuses.

The Challenge
Verifying staffing for the new school year involves tracking hundreds of staff members to confirm their return, identify vacancies, and allocate resources efficiently. The Diocese of Erie Catholic School System needed an efficient system to track and verify their staff’s intent to return for the next school year.
The Solution
Edulink’s Comply platform automates the Intent to Return process, collecting staff plans to stay, leave, or request new positions. This helps administrators identify vacancies, allocate resources, and plan classroom capacity.
Comply automatically reminds employees to complete forms by a set due date. Schools get a digital record of responses and a questionnaire usage report. This report compiles feedback in an Excel spreadsheet, making it easy for HR or department heads to sort, filter, and analyze specific answers like transfer requests or comments on the “Intent to Return” form. Unlike standard reports, this one focuses on the actual content of responses.

“Implementing the annual Intent to Return questionnaire through Comply has significantly streamlined the process. Employees receive an automated email notification prompting them to complete the task and, once submitted, I am notified to review and approve. Additionally, the reporting functionality allows me to easily monitor completion status and track overall progress. It is an efficient and user-friendly tool. I highly recommend its use.”
