The Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship is a K-8 public school in Pittsburgh, PA. Since opening their doors in 2011, the school has grown to educate hundreds of students from more than 15 school districts throughout the Greater Pittsburgh region.

The Challenge
The Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship introduced stay interviews back in 2020 to strengthen employee engagement and ensure school leaders were consistently holding meaningful one‑on‑one conversations and capturing employee feedback in a structured way. However, the process at that time was inefficient and fragmented, relying heavily on spreadsheets to track and quantify input. This made it difficult to standardize interviews, centralize information, and identify patterns or emerging concerns—even though every employee was intentionally scheduled for a stay interview.
The Solution
Adopting PAETEP’s Custom Forms Module in 2022 enabled them to move away from spreadsheets and streamline their process with a single, unified form template. This centralized stay interviews, exit interviews, and observations into one accessible system—greatly improving efficiency, consistency, and the ability to identify trends and address employee feedback and concerns. They are also excited to implement the new performance evaluations created in Custom Forms tailored to their specific job descriptions for an even more meaningful evaluation process.
