Dr. Reed Hankinson
Director of Programs
Dr. Reed Hankinson co-founded EduLink, Inc. with Dr. David Myers. The two met in 1995, while both teaching at Gateway School District in Pittsburgh, PA. They both started their doctoral program together in 1997 and incorporated EduLink, Inc. in 1998. While pursuing their Doctorate degrees at Duquesne University, they found there was a deep need for a recruiting tool for Teachers seeking employment. They worked tirelessly in their spare time to develop a web-based software tool, called TeacherLink USA to assist teachers looking for teaching positions in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hankinson and Dr. Myers, both taught for many years, while simultaneously building cutting edge software tools, specifically tailored to the unique needs of the education market. Their first-hand knowledge and expertise as teachers themselves, helped them build and develop highly refined tools like PAETEP, a teacher evaluation tool aligned specifically to the State of Pennsylvania guidelines; Comply, a tool that helps track and manage all compliance related items; Act 48 Credit Keeper which tracks continuing education hours, required for all teaching professionals; and MyRegistrar, an online course selection/registration tool used by colleges and universities, intermediate units, and school districts.
Dr. Hankinson is a graduate of Penn State University with a BS in Elementary Education. He earned his Master’s Degree and his Doctorate Degree from Duquesne University. Dr. Hankinson began his teaching career as a first grade teacher at Gateway School District in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Hankinson eventually left teaching to focus full time on expanding EduLink.
EduLink, Inc has become one of the most highly regarded education software companies in the state of Pennsylvania.
