The Challenge

As the School Police Chief, Safety Coordinator, and certified Master Trainer in Behavioral Threat Assessment and ALICE Training at Keystone Oaks School District, overseeing staff safety training across multiple buildings presented a growing administrative challenge. The role required coordinating and delivering numerous in-person training sessions throughout the district while ensuring that attendance records were accurate and Act 48 professional development hours were properly documented.

As training demands increased, manual attendance tracking and hour submissions became increasingly difficult to manage. Determining which staff members had completed required training, who still needed to attend, and whether Act 48 hours had been submitted accurately required significant time and effort. The lack of a centralized system created the potential for delays, reporting errors, and incomplete professional development records.

The Solution

By implementing Comply, training participation tracking became streamlined, efficient, and significantly more manageable. Attendance and course completion records are now captured within a single centralized system, eliminating the need for spreadsheets, manual recordkeeping, and time-consuming follow-up efforts.

Comply also improved collaboration between school safety leadership and the Act 48 coordinator by simplifying the process of awarding professional development hours. Training credits can be issued and submitted automatically, reducing the likelihood of errors and ensuring staff members receive timely credit for completed training.

“Before Comply, tracking mandated training was difficult and spread over different administrators throughout the district. Comply makes tracking mandated training for our staff simpler! Setup is easy and our staff appreciates that Comply provides notifications and keeps track of their mandated training and continuing education credits. The programmed reminders to complete tasks allow administration to track compliance, and they are able to generate a report with one button. Comply translates into safer students because it helps us ensure that we have a fully trained, educated team.”
