The Challenge
The Nazareth Area School District’s certified teaching staff have been evaluated in PAETEP for many years while evaluations for non-teaching staff were conducted on paper. The district recently undertook an initiative to convert their paper forms into an electronic format that provided a single digital storage point for all evaluations.
In addition, the district focused on evaluating high-yield instructional strategies in the classroom this school year and was searching for the right tool to easily gather meaningful walkthrough data customized to each grade level’s identified look-fors.
The Solution
To address these challenges, the district implemented the PAETEP Custom Forms Module. By converting its paper forms into the module, they created a unified evaluation system that brings all employee groups into a single, streamlined platform. The flexibility of Custom Forms enabled the district to design position‑specific evaluation tools, including aligned self‑evaluations, ensuring clarity and consistency across roles. The resulting data has provided actionable insights that now drive professional learning, coaching support, and ongoing instructional improvement across schools making the evaluation process both cohesive and deeply impactful.
