Manage the evaluation process for all of your educators and support staff
Teachers
- Engage in Informal Observations (Walkthroughs) and Comprehensive Observations with supervisors, including pre-conference, formal classroom observation, self-assessment, and post-conference.
- Interact with supervisors, adding comments, submitting evidence, and sending notifications.
- Complete Student Performance Measures and, if needed, IEP Goals Progress templates.
- Use Anecdotal Notes to build a portfolio of evidence. When completed by supervisors, teachers can review and electronically sign 13-1 forms.
Principals & Supervisors
- Manage the entire evaluation process from start to finish. Various PAETEP modules can be used to collect evidence and engage in dynamic conversations with teachers.
- Available options include Walkthroughs, Formal Observations, Differentiated Supervision, NTPE Observations, SPMs/IEPs/SLOs, Anecdotal Notes, Custom Forms, and 13 Rating Forms.
- Supervisors can also engage with their Superintendents through the “My Supervision” tab. Principals can set goals, pick focus areas, and share information and artifacts with their supervisor through NTPE Observations, Performance Goals, and Anecdotal Notes.
Non-Teaching Professionals
- Interact with supervisors through the NTP Observation or Formal Observation process, as well as Walkthoughs, Anecdotal Notes, and Custom Forms.
- Submit evidence, view notifications, and review their performance records at any time.
- NTP Supervisors can evaluate and be evaluated with the same tools available to principals.
Support Staff
- Using the Custom Forms Module to build custom forms, support staff can be evaluated annually.
- If desired, support staff can complete self-assessments and review/sign evaluations online.
- Custom forms can be designed for all support staff personnel, including paraprofessionals, administrative assistants, clerical staff, personal care aides, food service employees, maintenance staff, custodial staff, technology technicians, etc.
- Numerous templates are available to make the process even easier.
Onboarding & Training
Training is provided for administrators and principals through live webinars. Training typically lasts about 90 minutes. During training, supervisors learn how to navigate the software and review the various workflows. Supervisors are shown all the resources that are available to train their teachers and are given access to the PAETEP help desk. Following training, supervisors and teachers can submit support tickets, when needed.
Integrated Reporting
Various reports are available via the PAETEP base product. For example, administrators can review a summary of items in progress (Observation Summary Report), review component ratings across the district (Component Summary Report), review identified areas of growth and strength (Strength and Growth Report), and view data required for the annual Educator Effectiveness Annual Report (EEAR).

Act 13 Changes for the 2021-22 School Year
Pennsylvania Act 13 of 2020 has made modifications to the Educator Effectiveness process which will go into effect for the 2021-22 school year. Edulink is working to align PAETEP with the new requirements with no additional cost to our clients.
