Easy and Secure Peer-to-peer Evaluations and Feedback
Custom
Supervision
Edulink’s new Custom Supervision Feature makes peer-to-peer evaluations and feedback easy and secure. Teachers can coach fellow teachers, athletic directors can assess teacher-coaches, and mentors can support newly hired educators all within a structured workflow.
The Custom Supervision process enables districts to assign evaluators to employees in PAETEP for specific evaluations. It also supports “peer” relationships allowing users with similar roles to evaluate each other without gaining access to the employee’s full evaluation history. This is ideal when someone needs to complete a Custom Form for another employee, as they will only see the evaluations they initiated, not evaluations completed by other supervisors.
With PAETEP’s Custom Supervision feature, teachers can coach fellow teachers, athletic directors can assess teacher-coaches, and mentors can support newly hired educators all within a structured workflow.
Build Custom Forms for Teachers, NTPs, Supervisors, and More
The PAETEP Custom Forms Module enables you to quickly and easily build forms to monitor the progress of district initiatives, or to facilitate professional growth plans or individual improvement objectives.
Evaluate ALL STAFF with Custom Forms with the Support Staff Module
The Custom Forms with Support Staff module enables LEAs to evaluate all their employees in one place. Numerous templates are available for different types of support staff. Use your own forms or customize our templates to meet your specific needs.
Real-world examples of how districts can now use PAETEP’s Custom Supervision feature for specific evaluations where no method previously existed
Peer Coaching Programs (Teacher-to-Teacher)
SCENARIO:
Teachers participate in a peer coaching initiative and use a Custom Form to provide structured feedback to one another.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
Custom Supervision enables peer relationships to complete Custom Forms with limited visibility, so teachers can collaborate in PAETEP to strengthen instruction without exposing unrelated evaluations.
District Admin Evaluated by Another Admin
SCENARIO:
An assistant superintendent has administrative access in PAETEP but still needs to be evaluated by the superintendent.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
A supervision relationship is created between the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent using Custom Supervision. Because Custom Supervision has no building assignment requirement for district administrators, the workflow can be set up quickly and used with a Custom Form designed for assistant superintendent evaluations.
Teacher Leader / Department Head Evaluating Teachers
SCENARIO:
A district has a “music lead” or department chair who needs to evaluate teachers in their program using a Custom Form.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
With Custom Supervision, the department chair can complete Custom Forms for assigned teachers while only seeing the evaluations they complete. The building principal can continue formal evaluations as usual.
Head Paraeducator Evaluating Paraeducators
SCENARIO:
A district designates a head paraeducator to evaluate other paraeducators.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
Once a Custom Supervision relationship is set up, the head paraeducator can complete Custom Forms for assigned paraeducators.
Athletic Director Evaluating Teacher-Coaches
SCENARIO:
An athletic director with a support staff role needs to evaluate coaches (who also teach), while the principal continues formal teaching evaluations.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
Custom Supervision lets the athletic director be assigned as a supervisor of the teacher-coach specifically for the coaching evaluation. The principal can still complete the teacher’s formal evaluation, and the athletic director only sees the coaching form they complete.
Nursing Staff or Support Staff Leadership Structures
SCENARIO:
A lead nurse (non-teaching professional) evaluates other nurses (support staff), while still being evaluated by another supervisor.
How Custom Supervision Helps:
Custom Supervision makes it possible to configure these evaluation assignments. The NTP school nurse can be assigned as an evaluator for other nurse support staff users, and a Custom Form can be used to complete the evaluation.
